How to Choose the Right Rigid Gift Box Structure
Compare drawer, flip-top, lid-and-base and window boxes using WAYHING product examples, and learn which details to confirm before sampling.

A rigid gift box should be chosen around the product, the opening experience and the packing process. Start with product dimensions and weight, then compare structures and inserts before choosing decorative finishes.
Drawer boxes: a controlled reveal
A sliding drawer creates a gradual reveal and provides a separate tray for the product. WAYHING’s RGB-002 black drawer box includes a hanging tab, while RGB-003 uses a fitted PS insert and a thumb cut. Confirm the direction of opening, clearance around the tray and how the customer will grip the drawer.
Flip-top and hinged-lid boxes: presentation on opening
A connected lid keeps the box together during opening. RGB-004 includes ribbon support; RGB-009 is a flip-top perfume packaging box with a fitted insert. These structures can suit presentation sets where the arrangement inside is part of the experience. Confirm lid support and the space needed to remove each item.
Lid-and-base boxes and special shapes
A separate lid and base offers a familiar opening format. Special shapes can create a distinctive presentation, but the internal space must still fit the product and insert. Ask for a structural sample before approving an unusual shape.
Window boxes: show the product before opening
RGB-001 combines an oval window with a custom insert. A window is useful when visibility matters, but its position should align with the product. Confirm the window material, exposed area and insert placement together.
Confirm the insert and finish together
WAYHING offers paper, blister, flocked and EVA inserts, along with printing and finishing options such as lamination, hot foil, embossing and debossing. The insert should support the product without making removal difficult. Review a physical sample to check fit, opening and the final appearance.
