What to Prepare Before Requesting a Custom Packaging Quote
A practical checklist of product dimensions, quantity, structure, inserts, artwork and finishing requirements to help WAYHING assess your packaging project.
For a useful custom packaging quotation, send the product size, order quantity, preferred box structure and finish requirements together. You do not need a complete design to start, but clear information helps WAYHING identify the next steps and avoid assumptions.
1. Product dimensions and weight
Share the length, width and height of the product, including caps, handles or accessories. Indicate whether measurements describe the product itself or the intended box. For a set, list every item and explain how they should be arranged. Photographs with a ruler or a physical product sample can help confirm fit.
2. Quantity and variations
State the quantity for each size, color or artwork version. WAYHING’s published minimum order starts from 500 pieces; confirm the applicable requirement for your chosen structure and specification. If you expect repeat orders, include the expected quantities without treating them as a commitment.
3. Preferred box structure
Select a reference from our rigid gift boxes, folding boxes, perfume packaging, cosmetic packaging or custom paper packaging range. Tell us which features matter: a drawer, window, flip-top opening, special shape or flat-pack format. A reference is a starting point; final dimensions and structure must suit your product.
4. Insert and accessory requirements
Explain how the product should be held and removed. Include the number of cavities and any fragile surfaces. WAYHING offers paper, blister, flocked and EVA inserts, plus accessories such as ribbons and handles. The final choice should be checked with a sample rather than selected by appearance alone.
5. Artwork, colors and finishes
Provide your logo and artwork if available. Identify printed areas and desired finishes, such as matte or gloss lamination, hot foil, UV, embossing or debossing. Mark each treatment on the design and tell us if a physical color reference is available. Ask for the appropriate artwork format and dieline before finalizing files.
6. Sampling, timing and delivery
Share your target launch date, sample needs and destination. Our website lists indicative sample preparation of 3–7 days and bulk production of 14–21 days; the confirmed schedule depends on the approved specification and project arrangements. Ask which steps are included before planning your launch around these estimates.
